Glad to be part of the group. You'll be seeing my lame art sometime this week or whenever I get a chance to scan it.
Seriously... don't do that to yourself... someone told me something wise about sh-- like that...
~ she said that when we do that sort of self bashing of ourselves... we are just repeating the negative, abusive things we have learned to believe about ourselves...
those are someone elses words and deffinitions!!!
~ as long as we continue to carry /keep playing those "messeges" in our minds and repeating them... to ourselves... out loud, to the world... it stops mattering WHO or WHAT gave us those self destructive ides about our own SELF-WORTH....
~the "abuser" is no longer needed... we will continue thier work for them right?!?.... WRONG!!!!
~ i know life is bussy as he--!!! and there seems no time to feed our creative souls... but something as simple as being here on DA is a place where you are completely safe!!! completely accepted and connected to other creative beings... other people who pour thier pain... passion... power...personal stories into every piece they post!!!...... DA has been a haven, a sanctuary, and a mystical place of healing for me... give it a chance... everyone here knows that life is messy... and more than can be held inside without tearing at the spirit...
~let these words just float over you...
....don't let yourself "think" about them too much... but hear them beyond thier basic, clumsy words... i truly feel drawn to this friendship and i hope this doesn't seem too personal a note... you will learn real quick that i will say what i sense and that i hear you on more than one level when you talk "casually" about the abusive stuff at home... i hope to be a safe friend who always "hears with the heart"....
